Reccomended reading suggestions please.
by TheWormTower inso i've read carl olof jonsson's books the gentile times reconcidered and sign of the last days when, also raymond franz's two books crisis of conscience and in search or cristian freedom.
i am now reading a book entitled the bible unearthed by neil asher silberman and israel finkelstien which has been interesting however it stops at the old testement.
i'm looking for reccomendations on books to read next that go into the historicity of the new testement particularly from an archaeological and historical point of view.. thanks..

Watchtower Library Question
by peggaloon ini have never seen a watchtower library cd so this is a very basic question:.
if you get a 2003 watchtower library cd, does it contain all publications from the 1970's or so, up to 2003?.
then if you get the 2004 watchtower library cd, it will contain everything that the prior cd has, plus 1 years extra?.

The renewable energy industry is just a ploy to make us adopt sissy European Socialism. America is all about freedom.
We've tried solar power, it doesn't work and can't compare to the energy from coal and oil. The Sun simply isn't a long term reliable source of energy. It's a waste of time to try and invest in that industry.
I say let other countries waste their time investing in renewable energy, the public's concern for the environment will probably just fade away in the future. Let other countries waste their time investing in auto technology that increases gas mileage. I'm sure the trend of people buying more fuel efficent cars will fade away in the future as well. Then America will be sitting pretty, knowin how smart we were to not get caught up in the hype.
Our tried and try American way of gettin energy doesn't have any environmental impacts, unlike these new sissy "green" industries.

It's a cult run by lawyers. Fred Phelps was a lawyer until he was disbarred. His daughter who appears to be the main media spokesperson for the cult is a lawyer. They've made a career out of suing when their First Amendment rights to free speech are violated.

You did great. I would print out a few brief studies and articles showing the decrease in crime and homicide. That way if they come back you can stick to one subject. You could play innocent and say "I did some research on this after our conversation".
What a horribly depressing world view JW's are indoctrinated with. "Every year is worse than the last".
